My hands are tied,
my lips are sealed,
I cannot survive
in a world unhealed.

If I drink the pollution
and eat the dust,
my heart and soul
may soon turn to rust.

I try not to breathe the hate
as it opens the gate
to Hell’s front door
while we march evermore.

I am not Pavlovian.
I will not salivate
as you willingly wage war
today and forevermore.

I shall search the skies
for a world of grace,
seeking to replace
all the forked tongue lies.

My hands are tied,
my lips are sealed.
I shall not survive
in a world unhealed.

(big hugggsssssss) This kind of reminded me of "Pavlov's Bell" by Aimee Mann, dearest friend, I too am not going to surrender to this injustice here in this country and beyond and fight peacefully for what is right and humane for the world! (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

What a great title! As a matter of conditioned response, I usually click on your poems!
I'm always rewarded when I do! This one is no exception!

Peace, Love, & Harmony,

I humbly thank you, my poet friends...for not only do you make life bearable, you always give me hope that humans may yet make it through these dark days and find a way to go beyond our own selfishness

I have to look away from the media
and into the eyes of the young
to sometimes see me through, Kacy...

but you know me, the eternal hoptimist...

Kacy,  our problem is we have too much access
to too much BAD news,  bad this, bad that.

Seldom do we hear about all of the good
things, or the credible things that are done
and make some sense!!!

Excellent write of this...well spoken

I used to be a hoptimist.

I brewed several types of beer, but preferred fruit flavored wheat brews--a little trickier, but still as easy as a pilsner, just trickier to keep the equipment sterile and the process was slightly more delicate as temperature played a more pronounced role during fermentation.
It's tough to keep those micro environments clean too!

hugs, Kacy!

It's nice to have a pavlonian watchdog here at Pip tho!

True, Barry. Thanks for the reminder note. Yes, we do get saturated with mostly negative stuff.

LOL at that reply Karen, and I do understand about homebrew trickiness. I had a several bottles explode on my porch once. I never did figure out exactly what went wrong, and another time the batch tasted so skunky I used some of it as toilet cleaning fluid. LOL.

I daresay that --in person-- I could say a dozen or so words to you, and get a reaction that I could predict a week in advance

Maybe even fewer, and longer.... and you me in all probability -- arf! arf!
