Eclipse

Tonight I glide
under a moon rising
in a yellow
November haze

In this still, chill
lonely air
I do not share
the rabbits’ sense of play

But in tomorrow’s night
paths will cross
with a fullness
on display

And as it passes
through a warm red shadow
I will think distantly
of you

I enjoyed conjuring up the images in my mind.
Last December, I think, I counted over 500 incredible shooting stars in about a two hour period.  Are you a sky watcher--did you experience that shower?   If so, perhaps you'd describe it sometime.

I loved your imagery... I was a day early posting my eclipse poem.... got the date wrong.
Well written!

"Eclipse:  I will think distantly of you."
I like the dreaminess, and how you connected the images...~K~
