There you were again this morning
in your normal hurry up and wait mode.
I've studied that face so many times
until now when it finally seems
that the look of disgust I see
has become a part of a regular
routine that resides in your morning
ritual to face the approaching day.

I couldn't help but wonder to myself
if anyone has ever told you that
you don't really wear your aggression well.
It certainly seems to be a suit
that doesn't suit you.....

I can see that strangle hold
of thought crossing your mind
and the tap....tap....tap begins
steadily rising into the constant
drumming of rage

pounding.

Eyes begin darting, back and forth
in search for a way....
any way.....
to get out, to continue
without ever having to break stride
in your ordinary mundane ways
of habit,
but today
there is no escape

no where to go

You explode into desperation
as you seek satisfaction
and your focus becomes disabled
   {distractions overpowering concentration}
when suddenly is heard the sound of
your wake up call as it resonants
through the morning air
and realization hits you
like the Mack truck that you didn't see
while you were to busy trying to get
nowhere fast.

Tomorrow the sun will rise
and bring with it another day...

it's a shame that you let your road rage
get in the way.....

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...

anger is something we all have to deal with, whether from within ourselves, others and/or both...it is not a nice way to look at things.

exceptional write...

It's so difficult dealing
with those who lash out
for reasons unknown to us - we truly
have no glimpse as to what's pulling
their own chains...

we can only pray
we don't react
in kind.

I was observing some of the expressions
on the faces of other drivers on the highway
this morning and their actions and I thought
that it is no wonder there are so many accidents
when people get so caught up in themselves
that they don't pay enough of attention to the
roads thus resulting in accidents (and this poem..lol)
thanks to all.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Donna, this is so very tragic but true, sweet friend, it hurts me deeply to see too many set their lives around road rage, as I find that the anger in road rage becomes linked to ones own life and out of it one becomes a zombie! (sad sigh) I know this feeling ever so much, sweet friend, I pray all drivers can just calm down, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I think Noah's graphics suits this well....

Perspectives....too many of us are totally
spoiled and have no sense of reality...

Imagine when there were no cars,  sad....
the horses caught the fury then...

Excellent write Donna,  very well put..
