sing, my man, sing
sing those songs for broken hearts
sing the sad blues
let me bleed some more

after all,
like water is for flowing
and air is for breathing
broken pieces of the heart
are meant to be scattered
like dust
sprinkled over barren lands
deserted

yes, like a friend writes
butterflies are meant to be free
free to hop from
one flower to another
for worthwhile is a life spent
searching sweet happiness
from one source to another
and life is short
meant to be enjoyed

so should I be
happy that
I am a flower that was once
visited
for a once-upon-a-short-time
and focus my lens
on the brightest
iris of memory’s eye?

.
.
.

sing my man sing
don’t stop now
sing the blues
let me bleed
till there’s no more bleeding to do

maybe then
the healing will begin

till then
the kaleidoscope must turn
reflecting multiple designs
of blue

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sudhir, this is wonderful, sweet friend, this truly held the Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix spirit and would make a wonderful blues anthem, yay!
