Lately I've dreamed of dying
Waking and feeling like crying.
At first what I thought was frightening,
Has now become so enlightening.

I've talked to my parents who have long passed,
Wishing the dreams would forever last,
I saw old friends from years ago,
Met some folks that I didn't know.

I didn't see Elvis, but heard that he's there,
But saw Madam Chipmunk, and she hasn't a care!
I met my two daughters, for the very first time,
I'd lost them at childbirth, but they're doing fine.

I've lost all fear of dying it seems
Since having these wonderful heartwarming dreams.

you are a lucky man to have such peace about something many people fear.  Most definitely sweet dreams.  A lovely poem I don't even know how to properly respond to.  I love reading your writing...always have, always will.

This is wonderful Toe!
After having a near death experience
I too have no fear of death anymore.
May all your dreams be peaceful ones poet sir.

The key word is fight. I've never feared death, but I never give it an inch either. I fear letting it win, and what that would make of me.

I can't even begin to put into words what this makes me feel. *S*

Just don't get too accepting, ya hear... for I swear I'll come haunt you. *S*

This is beautiful, my friend... I know those visits meant the world to you.

Don't get to liking those dreams too much, ragman. You still have plenty of hell to raise here before moving on...and I'll be here to goad you on.

Aside from that, this is one heck of a poem you created here...these words hit home and the feelings laid out for everyone to see are sincere....one of your best

Toe,
You gave me an ache in you know what. And I thought you couldn't teach old dogs new tricks. I never had any illusions about your ability to write, my friend.
