My half asleep thoughts, turned legal documents
Into soft brushes, landscaping a drowning canvas
Swirling poignant-life building blocks
Like dominos exaggerating sincerely
Into my neighborhood, seriously expanding
Like evening ghosts, over large cities asleep
No one believed?
Filling cracks on sidewalks
Strolling with a whistle, despite frowning suburbs
Easing hours, soothes the addiction
Of a fairly frequent meaning, spending the night
Offering opinions and clear meaning bread
By a well-defined lilt of lines
Consumed by wind, spewing out resolutions of well meaning art

Then….the last thing I ever expected to confront
Jumped into my path like a lion on the prow
Now I’m Wondering, “Why has he not been fed”?
Having merged into my path, without warning
I welcomed the creature with human contact
Blowing my breath in his face….looking deep into his eyes
This drew stillness…he purred, his hunger satisfied

Communal survival became our point of view
Ignoring the bigots who were very very poor
Yes, out of fear, ignorance and a yearning for brew
They came begging for a self-loathing interviews

Baptizing frail creatures having a profound impact
On a new world order….one of which was warming me
For years…trying to get in…little did I know
All I had to do…was open up my skin
Now I wear a zipper for easy access

Love it...and overwhelmed by it.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

So,  you have found the secret... I wish I
had thought to put a zipper...but which
side?  Front or back?    Well Done, Lee..
