Remember The Sun
Cold_Eternity

The sun is gone, and gone for good,
Ill miss it now, but soon forget;
And when the time has finally come,
Ill have no more reason left to run.
We make our choices, and we live with them,
We die with them, and we breathe them;
And if for some reason you forget,
Why we laughed, or cried in the days gone by,
Then stand tall, look up, and remember the sun;
How it used to make you smile,
And warm you gently with fingers of light,
Caress your body and kiss so sweet,
And made you laugh, so gently when
The wind would sometimes tickle your feet,
But how soon that we forget,
What friends we were when we needed a hand,
And helped each other forward with loving words;
It makes me sad that we forget when,
And so quickly turn our backs on those who
Tried, and those who failed, and those who never
Stood a chance of making it but tried none the less,
What place is it for us to choose, who is worthy
Who shall win, and who shall loose, and so with this I say,
While standing here in my darkened hours,
I shall shed a single tear, and remember you, year after year
The sun is gone and gone for good
And where I will miss it and soon forget
At least I tried to remember it.

That's not what we are about here at Passions... we each enjoy each other's work.... we tend to read much more than we post our own.... You get to know people in here that way.  And you get your work read (usually) more the more you read and comment on other members' poetry.

We make our choices, and we live with them,
We die with them, and we breathe them;

A very strong first post, full of wisdom.
I enjoyed this and am looking forward to reading more.  I hope you enjoy your time here.  Take some time to read and get familiar with these pages of blue and I think you will enjoy this place as much as the rest of us do.

Welcome to Passions.  As was stated above, we're not about some numbers, but certainly about others.  Respond to poets, post one or two poems a day here and there, we're most certainly about birthdates and anniversaries, we are a whole lot about enjoying a variety of good poems, day after day...

so I guess you can say we're about some numbers, but certainly not about the kind you're used to.

Sit back, relax, read, enjoy, and most certainly, Welcome to Passions!!!

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?
