Chose To Stay

One day
you could tell
a hundred people
to not care about you
and leave you alone

Out of all those people
ninty-nine of them will walk away
and show you what
you meant to them.

But out of all of them
atleast one will stay
just to show you
that even if you tell them
not to care
you'll have one friend
who will always be there

I always heard
that if you have
one good friend
you'll do well in life

You don't need
100 people to care
all you need
it that one who stayed

Even when you told them to leave
they made their way
to always be there

All I know
and all I've learned
is that
a friend's
not a friend
until that day
when you told them
to not care and go away
through all that
they chose to stay

They chse that
for you
and for you
should choose that too.

I'd like to welcome you to Passions.I know you'll love it here as much as I do.This is a great write, that speaks volumes and should be listened to.I have many friends, but I have one close true friend who would stick with me right or wrong in good or bad.I hope everyone in life has at least that one person.

This is so true. If you have but ONE! Damon and Pythias is a great example, but that's because they had a (knowing) that the other was true. That's the place in your heart that gives the *staying* power. It's when you *(know)* inside they truly care for you. They truly love. Love is an action word, It can't be demanded, and dictated. I loved reading this and wish lots could see this with blinders off.
