How does one begin to give proper thanks to his mother,
for all the things she's done for him, and how much he truly loves her.
She's given him more than anyone, a relationship like no other.
She's blessed him with life and love, along with two sisters and a brother.

When put into perspective, all these things are quite extraordinary.
But it's the little things he hangs on to, it's these things his heart does carry.
These things are hard to quantify, as they seem so insignificant.
but whisk him to a simpler time, a time of warmth and innocence.

Like how she was always able to cheer him up, no matter what arose.
With the simple little gesture of an eskimo kiss, rubbing nose to nose.
Or how he loved to hear her laugh, sometimes so hard to tears.
For this little insecure boy it seemed, her laughter killed some fears.

Like the aromas from her kitchen, these simple things he finds so comforting.
He just wishes he could do his admiration justice and find the proper wording.
There are so many more wonderful things about her he wishes he could address.
But it seems that deeper the emotion, the harder the feeling to express.

In a last attempt to crystalize the thoughts and feelings he is conveying.
He ironically hopes it isn't necessary, and that his love for her, goes without saying.

I love you mom.
