In the silence of the gloaming,
…walks the maiden of the lea,
On the path to midnight’s hour,
…as she seeks to find her way,
Through the briars and the brambles,
…’cross wide rivers, shallow streams,
Into the land of evermore,
…the land of endless dreams.

For there she knows true love awaits,
…to kiss upon her brow,
To whisper softly in her ear,
…to her his love avow.
She yearns the warmth of his embrace,
…the man-ness of his skin,
As arm in arm they’ll sail the night,
…to the shore of love’s begin.

Venus sparkles in radiant glow,
…ope's the starlit night,
Heralding in a trillion stars,
…to Maiden’s pure delight,
For in the glow of heavens high,
…shines a path to welkin’s sea,
Allowing maiden of the lea,
…with her true love to be.
