My Rain

I can hear the rain, its synchronized with the beating of my heart.

Each drop that soaks the earth soaks my soul and cleanses my fear

I count the seconds between the thunder and the lighting to reassure myself the storm is near.

It pours down upon me

It covers me

Erases every moment for that I have ever mourned

With each drop

Subtly

I am reborn

Welcome to Passions!  Your poem is quite timely, at least in my neck of the woods.  We have a little rain here that thinks it wants to turn to snow.

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?

wow...I am truly overwhelmed by the warm welcome I have received here.  I have been searching for a place where I could let my words flow from my pen without judgement and without fear.

I thank every and every one of you for taking time out of your days to post a reply to my first poem.  I feel like you have each reached out and hugged me.  Thank you so very much.
