Your eyes are like rubies on this Tuesday
Bleeding tears of lost years
On white linen that covers over skin of white
Contrasts in light beam shadows across the quiet room
I would speak, if I knew the words
That could free the soul of a trapped girl
With needle bruised arms, yellow and purple
Fragile limbs dangle over the edge of the bed like a dying thought
I cling to the fading notion of hope
That her life will be saved
By some miracle of faith
From the praying hands of an unseen angel
I hold her hand
Closer than ever to my lips
I press her palm against my skin
Cold on warmth
Death on life
In the fragments of a final moment
I piece together an image of perfection.

Beautiful imagery, you painted such a vivid picture, sad portrait of a life turned inside out with no place to turn for respite. This was very well done indeed, you have a tender heart.
