Listening to every heart

Looking Within

Breezes were cool enough just a few days ago,
that the setting October sun
did not warm my veins, and winter
seemed just on the verge
of my horizon.

How large it appears ~
so close, perhaps one could touch
those sunspots
they talk of…

to reach into the soul of sun,
feel its warmth
again.

The rains will fall,
Winter will blow,
snow will flurry,
drifts will build ~

but I will know the warmth again.

For now, I look within.

For within lies an oasis,  a babbling brook
