I give to thee my heart this day
I leave for thee, I must not stay.
A life you hold in wraps to see
Our newborn babe, our destiny.

And from the rage of swelling tide
a treasure found, it cannot hide.
A jewel of green, a golden bar
a glint and gleam upon our star.

For in this night, this chilling night
a rider comes to warn of fright.
A king once scorned now seeks my head
and I must flee his waiting dread.

His men shall be in wait of me.
They stand amongst the granite scree.
A blade shall glint against the light.
My love, my love, I leave this night.

And till the dawn 'fore crescent moon
I must retire, to return soon.
Forget I’ll not, my chosen wife.
I bequeath you, our newborn life.

(smiles) You seriously should consider giving the Round Table a renaissance and representing the head of it, yay! (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is most deep and honest poetry, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I'll be brief... because this poem rendered me speechless.... Well, sadly and written with hope.  I enjoyed it much.

hehehe I love this period of time..It's amazing, but I got this feeling of being on the run...well sort of...Like " I shot the sheriff but I did not shoot the deputy, and then another song " On the road again"..and Good Hearted woman in love a good timin' man. WOW...you just opened up a bunch of things. Bcoz that's not all. WOW and the mind travels on...hahaha
Love,
Terri~
