The Ghost That Returned to Say Good-Bye She sat on her porch swing looking down the driveway It had been a while since her mate has passed away Still she waited for his return Every now and then she would notice a Butterfly Fluttering its wings on the screen One day as she walked in her garden The Butterfly flew in front of her And she felt a strange presence around her She reached out her hand And as the Butterfly landed on it She felt a familiar touch, One she would feel when her mate held her hand The Butterfly fluttered its wing and took to flight Flying around her in such delight As it flew around her it brushed against her shoulders Again she felt a sensation Like when he held her in his arms The Butterfly wanted her to feel at ease Before it landed on her shoulder To tell her it was he, her mate He wanted to tell her he was sorry he died before her He told her he missed her touch Missed her company, her Eyes, her Scent He told her he was doing fine, and that she would be fine too That an Angel was on his way to keep her company And that when she was ready For her to take him into her life and be happy He told her he Loved her and took off in flight Flying around her, brushing her shoulders one last time Before it glided in front of her Fluttering its wings He had come back to say Good-Bye [This message has been edited by Amature2 (10-31-2003 02:35 PM).] |

This is hauntingly sweet. I loved it. Cold hands means a warm heart |
