To Catch the Wind

To catch the wind you need a bail
To feed the sail to catch a whale
A symbol dark beneath the blue
Could be the essence of a clue.

It takes a seasoned eye to see
What lies beneath the gray of be
The undertone of flesh and bone
What could have been and turned to stone.

It is a voyage made by all
When the season and the call
And I am still in hunt the whale
Although my sail is aged and frail

Still I hear the sirens sing
I hear the toll of bells that ring
And though the brine makes tough my hide
It’s in the hunt I still abide

Someday I’ll toss the harpoon true
And it will pierce the heart in coup.

Mornin', Sy-Guy!

May you, I mean "your sails", always be full of wind!

~ Blow free,
  blow strong.

  and all day long!

I love your meta4 on life here.... I know that you're not really hunting whale.... and catching the wind..... We're all still chasing it in vain, I'm afraid.

Well written and enjoyed.

Wonderful! Not at all what I expected, though I didn't know I was expecting anything when I read it. Delightful, and I love the way you're still in the hunt, still after the prey.
