He was my skeleton key carried soft upon hip With lashes that unlocked sweat and shivers from eyes to spine He was linen on the line in country breeze of where he lived A field of entwined fingers and lovers gaze he filled every inch And I awake in love imagine how anyone could compare With that in mind I toast the end of shutting me out For all that he was he lay short of everything I deserve |
