In traveling this country road You’ll find the people here alone. Though stars alight the velvet sky, Smiles fade unknown. The moon exists to wane away, And friends aren’t on this barren land. The people cry alone at night, And no one offers out their hand. The trees here stand so proud and tall, The wind swirls steady with the rain, But traveling this country road You’ll find a people, filled with pain. - And so it was that time stood still - |

Alyssa, what a well-written poem this is. It's so pretty, and I love the rhyme. But it's so sad. I do hope that things are better real soon, Sweetie. Hugs to you, Ethel |

(big hugggssssssss) Some are indeed left behind on their own, while others just love the pastoral, rustic life! (sigh) If only we can identify them better along each road, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Alyssa, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth |

Thank you Allysa, a beautiful poem of a place that is very real. This makes me think of a song by the same name...though a slightly different message. |

Hello Alyssa This was so beautiful, yet so sad. I have seen these people you write about and you can't help but wonder what lies ahead for them. Take care........Sue I am in motion |

Goldenrose, I always love knowing people's favorite lines, thanks I'm glad you like it and yes.. definitely a darkness there. Ethel, Thank you you're always so sweet. I never really know how well I do on form or anything, I'm not very good at that part... but yes, it is sad, and that is why I need to write. Again, thank you. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

ambrish, yes.. that is what I feel. I wrote this after taking a long walk down my street in the middle of the night (in my slippers!) and it wrote itself from there. Sue, I read the lyrics to that song, sounds pretty good. And lol I actually do like where I live, its just life I don't like. Thank you for your reply Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

Magnus, yes, I do elieve I know the song you speak of definitely a very different tune to its words but alas we're all different. Thank you for your reply dear sir... Sue, so very true... But with everyone, we can never really quite help but wonder. Wouldn't it be strange to be able to see through somebody elses eyes? to know their feelings and not just guess. We're all so bias even in our compassion. It would be interesting and life changing I'm sure. Thank you for your reply and you take care too... Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |
