+*+*+*+*+
In castle dark,
so damp and dreary,
roamed a ghost,
so sad and teary.

Lost his heart
and head, they say,
when his love
did go away.

He climbed to top
of highest tower.
Threw self off
like castoff flower.

Tho' body spread
in four directions,
his spirit walks
unseen dimensions.

Footfalls echo
down each corridor,
as he pines for love,
lost forevermore.

This SO needs a bump.

This reminded me of a song my music teacher used to make us sing when we were itty-bitties. She'd walk around with this head (although it was a manican head...still, lol),  singing the song in this creepy voice...Geeze, she was a nut, but she was the best nut ever

Thanks for bringing this memory back.

And to the corners of the earth
a soul is spread awaiting birth.
But now is left to walk and wail
through stormy night, blowing gale.

For of a love now blind to see
he ever roams so listlessly
and when is time, he shall return
to light the fires as passions burn.

Excellent write Lady Linda, much
enjoyed.

awww......how sad =(
Now I have to feel sorry for ghosts too.
I'm afraid there is unfortunately enough pity and sadness to go around
and around and round and round....

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Linda, forgive me for the crying, I just like happier endings and the thoughts of those truly commiting suicide when heartbroken truly is terrible! (wipes tears) This made my heart feel weak, sweet friend, you always write with a sympathetic and mighty heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah ~

Oh, no! I made you cry again with another of my sad and tragic-ending poems!

I'll change the ending here for you, my gentle angel friend!

~ When the forlorn lover leapt from the tower, a willow tree broke his fall. He did not perish in his jilted lover's leap; however he did break his leg. When his lover heard of his misadventure, she returned to help him through his convalescence. She fell in love with him again and they married, had 2 children, and lived happily everafter! THE END

Feel better now?
