I feel ashamed when I’m around you I feel that you see right through me You see into my soul Nothing is really a secret with you You know it all When your gaze is fixed upon me, I quickly look away Afraid of what you might see there I try to hide But I can’t I sense your longing to speak with me To tell me all you know of me But I hesitate Keep our conversations short Afraid of what you might say That it will hurt But I think I already know I know what you’re thinking Because I see it too I know what you do And now that I don’t see you everyday, Just once a week It’s easier to ignore Ignore the pain I feel But buried deep in my mind, I know it’s still there Presured, Alone, Depressed, Angry, That is how I feel So I cry out Cry out to in whom my trust resides And He helps me through this Through another That one may not be you But I will never forget Never forget how you helped me, Realize what was wrong Thank you |
