When I read sad and lonely
poems of those
going through pain
heartache of     broken

Pain and  hurt  of rejection
of a love      faded
leaving empty space within
deep inner beings of

A void where completeness
warmth once occupied
hearts now aching
now broken     cold within

When I read of
this devastation    hurt, pain
many heart cries
looking for   release of

I think of me and you....
Of how that even though
we are sad and lonely
when space is between

We are so blessed to have
love for each other
A love of desire and need
passion and warmth

A love with fulfilment    of completeness
in which hearts
blend into   one
keeping us ever close        even in distance

space that hurts so badly.......

I have been lonely
But not really alone
Knowing that love
Was as close as a phone
Knowing that the one
I hold so dear
Was missing me, too
Wishing he was here

I've also been lonely
On my half of the bed
Still sharing address
But togetherness dead
And I've been alone
Thinking this would be
Story of my life
With no one for me

Love is the key
What difference it makes
In how bearable are
Our hurtings and aches
There's still pain to suffer
When separation's to bear
We yearn, but find comfort
Knowing this pain is shared.

I like this very much... even in your happiness, you know the pain of being apart... and it gives you even more empathy for all those who are hurting. *S*

Ethel, you know that's all I write is sad and lonely...and somehow it's what I like from a poem, sadly.

I love this write of yours...it's beautiful

(smiles) Oh Ethel, though it made me cry too because I don't have a hand to hold yet and have never got to talk to any sweet girl, it also made me smile because of your golden and compassionate heart that reaches out to all! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is gorgeous, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
