I don’t know why of late
poetry comes so easily to my heart
yet so haltingly
to my pen.

The words are here,
a collection of momentary verses
I recite through the day
as I walk into Autumn
falling for you.

I wonder when exactly
karma readjusted.
I don’t recall waking up one morning
to the sun rising differently
than the day before.

But it must have,
in one life or another.

hmmm...this I understand..I once told a friend that I can't write happy...

"karma readjusted." and "in one life or another"

lol...where have I heard about those?

Duncan...I know where those words come from and I hope they never stop...

(and pssst..it was worth the wait)

Sometimes
the words
need to percolate
in the morning

then steep
in the afternoon

after which

they generally
go into fermentation
by nightfall...

in time?
