~On My Desk~

On my desk,
that's a little of a mess
There's teddy bears,
and candles from here to there.
Lotion, and two bunnies;
an angel playing violin.
A bunny
that cackles just like a hen
You know the Cadbury jingle, and then
I have a little teddy bear that recites poetry
about God so grand.
You push his tummy,
He says words about God being
so broad, and grand,
by the touch of His hand.
And little candy discs,
hard candy of strawberries,
and creme.
So divine, you'd think
you're in a dream.
A burnt cd
with music I had planned.
Coldplay,
wow I love you, I do
Because you would cross a line
and they were all yellow,
Look how they shine!
Then Enrique saying
Let Me Be Your Hero,
Then Staind, reminding me
It's been a while since I first saw you,
and it's been a while
since on my own two feet I could stand.
Then it's off to Hotel California
where there's mission bells and
you aren't sure it's heaven or hell
where they haven't had
that spirit there since 1969.
Hemorrhage, leaving me to myself
Leave life bleeding in my hands again.
Life is like some movie, black and white
Don't fall away leave me to myself,
Then Drive; sometimes I feel uncertainty
stinging clear
Seems Ive been here before
seems to have a vaguely mass appeal.
Then it's Kid Rock!!!
He's a Cowboy he headed out West
Gives a toast to the sun,
drink to the stars.
Then Ozzy well he tells me
It's a Shot in the dark!!
One step away from you
is a shot in the dark.
Then he's gazing through the window
at the world outside.
Wondering if they are going to survive
Because history repeats itself time after time.
He's a dreamer dreaming his life away
Dreaming of better days.
Track number ten of seventeen is "Hey You"
Pinkie,,,you know of the Floyd kind
saying Hey You out there in the cold will you touch me.
Hey you would you help me to carry the stone
Open your heart, I'm coming home.
Then Bono (*truly* one of God's angels) singing
he still hasn't found what he's looking for.
Has anyone?
He believes in Kingdom Come, and
All bleeds into one!
Now Remy Zero sings about Superman
Saying "somebody save me.
Don't we all wish we had wings!!!!
Moving right along...
Now it's Paul, Ringo, John, and George
saying "you say goodbye, I say hello"
Then track fourteen
It's an oldie; Paul Davis
I go crazy when
I look in your eyes
My heart just can't hide
that old feeling inside.
Track fifteen,
"Diamond Girl"
such a radiant child
you sure do shine.
Track sixteen
Well it's about a
green eyed lady
back in the seventies
Last track on my desk
is about "Sad Eyes"
turn the other way.
This my desk,
a little of a mess
is candy,
and candles
from here to there
teddy bears
Cadbury cackling bunny
Violin playing angel
burnt cd,
but
my home.
No need
to wander.
No need
to roam.

(giggles in delight) Wow, you sure have quite a diverse taste of music! LOL! (kiss on cheek) That puts my compilations in shame, they are all generic in their themes, LOL! (smiles) This is a beautiful desktop poem, sweet friend, awwwwwwww, I want to hug that teddy bear and hear what he/she has to say, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Shara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

nakdthoughts- Thanks. Yeah I fit this one right in there. The poem that is. The teddy bears, and the bunnies are small and so are most of the candles. Could appear a little messy.

Froggy- Thanks. I am glad you liked. Clean away...dust,dust,dust...clean clean
clean!

Awww, Terri. I like this. You can really tell a story, my friend. And I love teddy bears and angels, and music.....yep, even strawberry creme candies. LOL Are they the Lifesavers kind?

Do you like Enya, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Diamond Rio, Jewel, Michael Bolton......and so many more Soft Rock? I like some of the new country, too, like Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

Well, I didn't mean to get so long winded, my friend.

Hi Ethel...sweet you are as always. Precious you are. I like Enya, R.E.M. Depeche Mode, INXS, I used to have Micheal Boltons first album, I do like Celine Dion. I like all the ones you mentioned, and Alicia Keys, but my all time fave is Barbra Streisand!!!!!! I don't think there will ever be a voice that matches hers.

Love to you girlie...
Terri~

p.s. Oops I forgot...yessss it is the lifesavers kind..hehe If I lived near I'd bring you a stocking full of them for christmas. Gotta help Santa along you know. and more
