Why must love, so enlightening and
enthralling, so captivating and mesmerizing...
become the harbinger of heartbreaks?

Before you, I stand, a sentinel,
as a tear falls from my own weariness.
And in the eyes of a treasured soul
a single glowing ember of courage
glows, awaiting a breath, that a
flame might burn again.

I shall ever guard, ever defend the
now shattered heart.  For, as you
pick each piece from the cool damp
of our earth, I shall guide you beyond,
to the next.....

Until the last shimmering piece falls
gently into place and once again a
broken heart beats smoothly
against a courageous chest.

I will...as a friend should

The courage to love again...a notion I have considered, and which I have wanted to write.  You know, sometimes the answers show up when one is writing, and sometimes when one is reading another's writing.  Thanks for the wisdom and strength I find in your words.

i dont know, but it is
maybe because upon the capturing of it, we
become complacent and on to the next thrill....just a thought on a tuesday morning

I don't believe love ever dies, but is fine tunedwithin our souls and hearts?  I dunno, quess that's just silly me.

But..Magnus, this was enthralling, written with a caring heart....God bless you in whatever comes between you two, as I know you will be emcompassed by something very beautifully rewarded, for all good comes from love.

Thank you for sharing.

Barry, I darn near fell off my chair when I read littlewing's reply.

I think very highly of you, but she exhaults you to the divine! lol

Another fine write from your beautiful and poetic heart.

And how long is the average wait?

Loved it.

As I wept down the lines of this,

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Barry, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I don't know the answer to such a rhetorical question, but I do believe the right response is to try and love again because it is much a special thing to waste! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
