(In response to the line in the song 'Two Beds And A Coffee Machine' - "Wonder how they'll ever make it through this living nightmare?" - by Savage Garden) Dreams Of Survival In the safest place of dream I'd be, Escaping the harm of reality, With loving warmth, no need to hide, A place to which my soul could bind. No shouting with my ears I'd hear. My eyes to see not one more tear. My heart to find a peaceful pace, No fear to see upon my face. I'd be a princess in a castle, With no such thing as common hassle. Loving each day for what it brought, Erasing every tormented thought. I'd be a swan upon a lake, Swimming for freedom, mine to take, With head held high and beauty shown, For my true spirit now my own. I'd be an eagle flying high, With pleasant views, no need to cry. Gliding with a silent peace, A mind of settled calming ease. No shouting with my ears I'd hear. My eyes to see not one more tear. My heart to find a peaceful pace, No fear to see upon my face. |
