(This is my response to Earth Angel's challenge, yay! Hope you enjoy it!)

Aura Reader
By: Noah Eaton
10/18/03
.
.
.
.
Learning xenoglossy as a third language...

speaking in clairsentient tongues,

slate-writing my signature,

building a roof inside mysticism.

Up through technique,

down through coincidence,

I recognize the Zener card impressions,

staring, taking precedence...
.
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
Sometimes things are meant to get lost,

when you translate,

and maybe we already heard them before,

but I know,

there's more than just shape-shifting,

in this epic veridical dream...
.
.
.
.
Table-tilting this subliminal perception,

the Aura Reader sips her darjeeling tea,

on the rim of her teacup,

designing patterns with the leaves.

Her eyes like Tibetan tapestries,

pupils scattered about like Zulu bones,

scrying through the pale clair de lune,

everything makes awkward sense, I know...
.
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
I don't know what else she has to say,

but I think I get it,

seanced lips humming B-flat,

in cycles of spinning plates,

57 octaves below Middle C,

and the brown note,

becomes white noise,

echoing through the crystal radio...
.
.
.
.
Cross-legged like a Bavarian pretzel,

proxy-sitting with the prophet,

blind-matching the drawings,

in a laying on of hands with the Amazing Kreskin,

snapping Kirlian photography through my mind,

of angels,

silhouettes, space brothers,

Daemon and Saturday night Dionne Warwick infomercials...
.
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
...and as my mind loses oxygen,

piling up newspaper horoscopes and Akashic records,

as a blanket over my learned body,

arcing corn circles with my relaxing arms,

I give the light in the Aura Reader's eyes a cold-reading,

watching the Kool-aid halo,

encircle her spirit...
.
.
.
.
...and this very moment,

it's more than just hope and stars,

that mark the highways to heaven...
.
.
.
.
.

I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth
I can see the sun set and I perceive

Noah!  Hey sidekick..this is your best by far!!
You not only met the challenge but,
incorporated so many areas of the unexplained.
So very interesting...and right up my alley!
I love this..and into my library it goes.

Noah, you really took us right along on the
trip with you in this one, my friend.
I enjoyed reading this.

Oh, and I loved this art work. Do you make graphics, Noah?
If you do, you'll have to make one for me and Gary
for one of my love poems.

Some things, my friend, are universal. The ideals of Truth, Beauty, Freedom, and Love for example...

Hello Noah

Your extensive vocabulary never ceases to amaze me and the pictures complimented your words wonderfully.

I just want to thank you for being so supportive with my current problem. The main reason I never told her is I fear she'll turn away from me and I'll lose a friendship I have valued for a long time.
