Listening to every heart

Imagine a conversation ~
drop in on Ruth & Karilea

                                    A Patient Woman…

Is content with certainty                        Will abide uncertainty
That one unequalled                              Knowing no two are ever alike;
Will eventually appear                            She has long quit asking when
Created just for her.                            For she is always a keeper.
Loneliest nights                                 She marks darkness in distinct measure,
Never lessen conviction                          Knowing the sun will rise tomorrow
For they were meant to be.                       As she holds on to all inherent thought.

She incubates life                               She is the bearer of fruits
Knowing her own                                  A reaper of harvests
Will never be the same                           Facing floods and droughts, no matter
Nourished under her heart                        For she feeds the masses
Is a part of her                                 By word and deed
That will stand apart                            Knowing something will be left for
Generations                                      Tomorrow
Rock to sleep in her arms                        When all should wake
Soothed by loving lullabies                      To hear the voice of her

She sees the future                              She learns from the past
In seeds tilled into                             Counting her seeds, knowing when
A fertile soil                                   To discard hope
In bleak of winter                               And turns to counting snowflakes
She knows to look                                For each could be a soul
For peek of green                                Come to nourish life
As daffodils burst forth                         In turn

She saves a word                                 A patient woman
Thinking it may become                           Places her hand
A gift of love                                   On the Bible
And writes to remember                           No need for walls
All that once was                                To show her the way;
Projects her hopes                               Then lives on Faith
Into unprotected realm                           Looking past boundaries,
With bleed of heart.                             And opens her soul to man.

Astonishing! Sung like Soprano and Alto, weaving the same song in perfect harmony. Can't say enough good things about this, can't quote enough fabulous lines to carry my impressions adequately.

I loved this, you two.  You made me see my value.  And I needed to see it this evening.  I am always amazed to come here and find comfort and answers...You would think I would know I would after 6 months of coming here...

Just lovely!

Well I KNEW this wasnt about a moth
and I gotta tell ya I wasnt very patient waitin for the forums to come back up so I could see this.. LOL

First of all --
ITS ABOUT TIME RUTH DUETED!!!!  yayaya
Kudos for Kari, finally got "Ruth the chickenhearted" to go for it.

What I enjoyed most about this was the originality of it...its quite different from most duets we see...so lovely in both its uniqueness and its expression.

Take a bow poetesses...then do it again.

every time I talk to you its over too soon
every day feels incomplete till you walk into the room
just say the words, I'll jump that moon.

Marty, that will be up to suthern.  She is a lady, and a friend, respected by those poets who know her well.  If she will duet with me, then I am more than willing to duet again with her.

JB, when we get your attention, my dear, I know that I have paired up with one of the best.  Thank you!

Maree, your constant attention always warms my heart.  Thank you, little one.

Magnus - if suthern will, then you should ask her to accompany you some one day.  We are ... waiting!

Noah, the middle of your compliment alone could be a poem.  Thank you!

Lauren, this was indeed, different.  But my muse wouldn't let me do it any other way.  Haven't we all heard those conversations, though?  We're in the same book, sometimes on the same page, sometimes, in different chapters.  Bottom line, we're sharing.  THAT's what makes this, I think.  Thank you.

Crystal, you are so kind with your comments, thank you, dear.

Janet Marie - leave it to you to pull out the lines.  Oh, yes, I'm waiting...patiently.

Marty: That sounds like a great idea to me! *S* Thank you very much! *S*

Sunshine: Just tell me when... I think I told you that the title didn't describe me except under certain circumstances. *S*
