Do not he whispered Look for me in the leaves Or for my face in water ………………………….. There among the stones piled One atop the other as if in jigsawed madness The puzzle of how they fit Was born in a scheme of sweat And constantly shuffled rock hides the Zen of he Who thought to build this wall Along the brow of hill And at the base of trees that stand Too silent for all but the wind to whisper He bent his back in pry Hands roughed in carry Mind freed in time One to follow another As questions would That do not have answers Or even reasons why Until it stood as you see it now A broken weave of color against still other Broken ground Before it began to fall A drop of blood stained this one A splatter of some scrape While this one was far more than his back could bear And in the end He left it there The place made hollow As he sat and rested Here ……………………………………………… do not look for me he whispered in the face of stone piled high or for the part of me that once just once touched the sky for I am in the effort the toil that passes time …………………………………… There In the broken line That he still mends Lies the Zen of him A place of beginning And of end [This message has been edited by Cpat Hair (10-14-2003 04:10 PM).] |

I applaud you Bravo, you brought this to life....in images and words...your talent is indeed showing....no "bar room" trick, but I am betting more then one person would be front and center to hear you read this... hugssss Lauren~ |

a stone atop another lay neatly placed in zig-zagged way a tale of long gone years they hide like ways of criss-crossed river sides his blood, he mixes well with sweat and bears his weight of kismet he sinks his past in walls so huge and bides his time of great deluge beginning would then birth an end as broken lines would come to mend ---------------- :d Many thanks for your poetry, my friend... regards sudhir |

Gee, I didn't know that you possessed such depth in your poetic meanderings across the pages of time... (Yes I did) A great write, I could feel the toils... |
