Seclude my thought

I hate myself
for ever being
overbearing and
a burden that you
could not carry

So, what could I use,
but blue bottled poison
left for me on a table
too wide,
it reminds me
of how loneliness
can guide me
to remedy.

So drowning my haunted sleep,
flickering memories of
touching the skin
that kept me warm.
Asking, where have you been,
when
I've shivered in
sinful blankets?

I hate myself
for missing
and contemplating
my petty existance,
and how it
seems to only be worthy enough
for half dry, tall days.

Holding me is
like holding a
breath..
A slip of air in the night,
a crimson lip that
trembles with
a future tear..

From one end of this table
to another..
I still wake in hopes
of seeing you there..

For now there is my poison,
the self loathing headache
from which I can't escape,
I hate
myself
for never being there
enough
to ease your pain..

There is not a cure
for the distance..
