THE FINAL CURTAIN? |

THE FINAL CURTAIN? The lights are slowly dimming And it's hard to see the page To write the final chapters Of the scenes upon life's stage. Those acts already played out With the players who were cast - The sets of each one night stand Have been struck, all, in the past. It's hard to keep from burning out And to keep new ideas, flowing When there's no one in the house To applaude the plot, unfolding. I want to write something different - A love story, that came true - One, that had a happy ending - But, the real ones rarely do. Special effects and fantasy With perfect words in every line Are great for big productions But, they won't work, in mine. I want to keep it plain and simple So, the message it's revealing Isn't lost in the translation Of true love's honest feeling. I search for some inspiration To set mind and pen in motion - To free my heart to show someone It's passion and emotion. Could it be the final curtain Is coming down in front of me - That I already wrote the ending Of my lifetime's short story. Abe, what a beautiful write. somewhat melancholy and wistful. but an honest look at the man melting in the mirror. very nice, and thank you Peace, Joe |

What an interesting twist... The good news is, though - There's always another act to follow... Keep on writing, Abe... |
