~* Seeing Is Believing They Say *~ They say, "God is good."  When I saw these photographs  I said, "God is great!"  Personal Note Thank all of you in Passions for being so supportive during this difficult time, my family will not forget your kindness to us. These are pictures of my son's car crash last week. He skidded on oil and water on the freeway, hitting a large metal pole, and this was with a seatbelt on! He escaped with a frontal lobe brain contusion, and minor stitching up here and there. Some of my friends in here could not get these pictures to open in their email so I did this little senryu up to share. I think it may be shocking for some, but as I stared in awe at these pictures I wondered now my son ever made it out of that car alive. I soon realized that his purpose in this life was not over. Although many tears have been cried, most I think were in joy. There is more I could mention about this family miracle of ours, but I had to show you that indeed there is a purpose for us all being here during our lifetime. We may not know what it is, but that is the beauty of life, discovering it! Life is a wonderful thing, so let's live it up! Whomever your "God" is you can bet they are watching! Without the support of all of you wonderful poets here that called, sent cards, flowers, e-cards, and emails, this would have been an an even more difficult time for us all. Each day is an improvement, and it appears eventually this nightmare will be put to rest. After this I am thoroughly convinced there is a higher power and for sure angels out there watching us. So ... whatever you wish to call them in your life, I can attest that one was surely in the car with my son that morning! Everyone, including the Police, Fire Department, and even the two neurosurgeons can not figure out how he made it out of that accident alive, and in one piece, but I can  |

Indeed Sharon, they are among us....you know I believe this with all my heart and soul. My accident wasn;t nearly severe as Todds, but this car looks very much like my friend Tony's truck did and they literally had to tape his brain into his head until they got him to the hospital and only by Gods (or whichever name you personally might use...)good grace did he live. Hugs to you all and more prayers on wing for even speedier recoveries...... |

 (big hugggssssssss) Oh Sharon, I'm so happy to hear you saying this, sweet friend, you and your son DO have a purpose for being here, and there is a perfectly logical reason why your son survived this crash...to show him, you, and all his loved ones that you do have a reason to live and proving love, prayer, and comfort can rise above all injuries or infractions! (wipes tears) God Bless You, sweet friend, I am so glad to hear he is recovering steadily and believe with all my heart he will very soon recover just the way he was before the crash, God Bless You, we continue to pray and send angel hugs your way, we all love you so much! I'm having trouble looking at this one today, and will wait a few days before I say more than this: Todd is incredibly lucky, and we are all lucky that you chose NOT to be with him that day. You both must have many more things on Earth to accomplish. |

Thanks again everyone You are not alone in being amazed he made it out of this accident period. We all are still so amazed and oh so grateful. Todd is coming along just great! He has gone from my house to his own home and is trying that on for size (with the kids) around. Seems he was indeed truly blessed as he is healing much better than was ever expected, but won't be back to his normal routine for a long time yet, and that's okay. The weather here in Vancouver is still like Summer so who needs to work anyway  [This message has been edited by Mysteria (09-24-2003 01:16 PM).] |
