^°¤VBS¤°^...ThE BiRtH Of A DiAmOnD i started out as just coal.. black and under intense pressure when i burn i release smoke... or flip an obscene gesture stuck between a rock and a hard place surviving by gods grace many of times my own actions almost removed me from my birthplace.. earth finally discovering my worth... ive transformed into a cherished gemstone.. incredible ive became one of many flawless things ive admired... to me my future was inevitable on another level from a fossil fuel to being in plain view my coming of age was a process... what i was a few years ago was just a preview emerging from all others who breathe and bleed the difference between me and a million others is... i try to succeed humble man ..far from evil but less than a saint.. not picasso.. but i use colorful words to paint descriptions of whats upon us and what lies beyond the grave me and my people have came along way from being just slaves ive paved the way for so many is small fractions.. grattitude before greed... self-satisfaction before tragic transactions a diamond in the rough has emerged and surged to be superb speaking my thoughts thru words.. skys the limit.. now im able to touch the birds all eyes on a diamond... value on my life was placed upon me by traders my life holds more weight than dead presidents embedded in green papers |

GhostWriter~ I found this to be an interesting read ... particularly liked this part - 'all eyes on a diamond... value on my life was placed upon me by traders my life holds more weight than dead presidents embedded in green papers' So many Black Americans were not expected to progress to a polished gem ... and yet, many, many have done exactly that ! And the same was true of the red people, of my Cherokee Indian heritage, yet so many have risen to great heights ... and set their footprints upon the sands of time to be followed in with PRIDE ! Be proud my friend ... you have every reason to do so~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

I like this. For school once I had to write a poem starting with "my life is like..." This reminds me of that. Well thought analogy, good job. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |
