You Touch Me

I transfer my daily thoughts,
crossing the guards of my heart
to bridge the gap, closing the distance the miles make.
But in this instant world, I can hear you,
feel you through the touch of hands
as we write our tales and shed our lines
until your moment becomes a moment in my mind.
I court each day, between the lines of hope
dusting the emptiness, waiting for the rainbow's end
to touch me once again.
