Tomorrows Are Promised

Through this difficult time
I am determined to cope
By persevering patiently
Inner strength brings hope

Using a little more insight
In accepting the situation
I will persevere patiently
In hope and determination

There I dawn upon myself
As emotions start to flow
Knowing I have patience
Whenever I am feeling low

Tomorrows are promised
Whilst rebuilding my pride
Patience gives me ability
For persevering life's ride

Hope shall spring eternal
Guided by determination
Patient and with purpose
Bringing joy and jubilation

Growing my self- esteem
Upholding it with dignity
Persisting with patience
A friend was found in me

I thought this was powerful. Also, the repetition of patience in the 3rd line of every stanza is effective. It acknowledges that this journey you're on is a process and a struggle in which you have to remind yourself to let it take its own good time. "Time is the beauty of the road being long."
