I had an interesting idea for a poem, and after playing with it, this is the result. Tell me what you think --- You’ve been given a wealth of carbon Giving you a choice of what to do, You must make something come out of it, You can form it to one of these two: You can waste the time you’ve been given, And leave it in its natural form, All you’re left with is dirty graphite— Ugly, but it seems to be the norm— Or you can take the time you’ve been given, And press, burn, smash, and crush that carbon! It may seem to take too much effort— But you have a diamond when you’re done! |

The more pressure exerted on a piece of coal, the brighter the diamond! --No pains, no gains! I enjoyed your write. We shouldn't shy from adversity! When the going gets tough, the tough get going! This poem shines! EA |

reminds me of Kyoto. I think we all could compress our carbon a little bit more. |

But Ben? With the "dirty graphite" couldn't I write? A diamond? Enjoyed! |
