This time I shall be prepared
as Mercury goes retrograde.
This time I'll keep my big mouth shut
so I can keep the friends I've made.

So my friends I beg of you--
remind me when I start to speak--
place the duct tape on my lips--
I'm weary of the taste of feet.

Oh, do I ever know what you mean! I'm always glad when Mercury gets back to normal! It plays havoc with communication from computers to the spoken word. There are some positive aspects to Mercury being retrograde as well, but overall, I'm glad when it gets back to normal--so that my life does as well!

Mercury was in Leo (my sun sign) when I was born and I am strongly affected by it.

Loved your poem!--& I think I'll get some of that duct tape myself!
