Foolishly I Had Believed My fault for being foolish My heart taken and used I believed in his excuses Until my heart felt bruised My fault for being enticed My heart was lured away Desire upon heartstrings With his promises to stay My fault for being gullible My heart never prepared I opened to persuasion Having thought he cared My fault for being tricked My heart easy decieved Infatuated by lovable lies Foolishly I had believed My fault for being trusting My heart wanted to keep Why I still longingly yearn Depths of love are deep HopeĀ©2003 |

wonderful poem. I felt your pain as i was reading it... Loving completely , but yet seeing that love not returned the same, or that it was abused is a hurt we never forget. I hope than each day brings you the chance to meet someone who will give you the love you deserve... Just believe.. it can and will happen... minoune |

Hope, you may have your graphics/smilies disabled...in the above reply, there is a smily hugging another smily...I don't think that it will let you post a blank reply...you gotta put something, even if only a dot good write, and you know I can relate |

From a male perspective, nice write. I could feel your loss. Keep up the hope. Dennis |
