Such a storm last night Tree limbs broke like hearts Black clouds loomed Lightning smashed them apart I lay in my bed Rain pounding violence Just waiting For that inner silence We have all been tricked It's not rainy season Ask the clouds If they had a reason You head for the hills Flood comes tomarrow Quit your job And beg, steal or borrow Grab what's worth grabbing The rain sure won't wait Sell your soul At least you'll know That you have sealed your fate |

Well B3jamboree I enjoyed this. I liked how you said that tree limbs broke like hearts. That was my fav. part, Next time the rain comes in I will be off selling my soul to seal my fate -ash I wear my crown of thorns |

Great Metaphors... The meter was just right to match the storms sensations...well done. TD |
