Waiting For a Friend

I know someone who sits outside
Just staring at the sky
He's waiting for an angel
And wonders if she will ever sit by his side

He goes and takes walks in the park
He sees others playing around
Hugging and holding hands
Still he walks alone, leaving his footprints in the sand

Time for him has never been an issue
But sometimes feels he's getting old
He even feels he has miss his chance
And his nights are very cold

For now he will still sit outside
And keep looking to the sky
Waiting for the angel
And catch her when he hears her cry
