Where is home? Is it where you first loved First played First listened? Is it where you were first hurt Or where you first got into trouble? Is it where you grew up Climbing that old tree in the backyard Until you fell down and broke your leg But tried again the following spring? Is it where you got your first crush Or your first kiss? Is it where you took your vows Under that old tree in the backyard Forever declaring your love for each other In front of your friends and family. Is it where your children now play Chasing the dog around the yard Where that old tree used to be But is now gone? Or is it simply, where your heart is? You may only be one person to the world, but you may also be the world to one person. |
