~ Along about my fourth grade year, I met a boy named Larry, he was a twin, a one of two, his brother’s name was Gary. But Larry was the one I liked, the one of two I chose, his hair was dark as chocolate, freckles ‘cross his nose. His brother was much fairer, but he looked too much like me, skin so fair, such light bright hair, so Larry it would be. We walked around the playground, about a foot apart, but friends all knew we had a thing and knew the rules by heart. I wore his leather jacket, it was my claim to fame, I’d prance around and preen, and to the girls I would proclaim my love for Larry, one of two, he was my everything, and after school he’d walk me home and to my hand he’d cling. But then one day, one awful day, he came inside to play, and all was good, at least I thought, until he did display that little dot inside his nose, a black one, oozing out, with snot and dirt and icky stuff, and I began to shout. “Go home, its time for you to leave, I can’t play anymore,” he kept on laughing in his chair, I fidgeted on the floor, “I said get out, you have that dot, can’t stand to see it there,” I threw him out, that dot and him went walking down the stairs. The next day on the playground, he looked at me all hurt, I gave him back his jacket and he threw it in the dirt. I told my friend how awful it had been with that black dot, all mixed in with dirt and goop and oozing out with snot. How terrible I was to him, way back so long ago, that little dot was all it took for me to lay him low. Some sage advice for big black dots when trying to maneuver, some spittle on a tissue is an excellent remover. ~.~ |

Oh what a great ending MorninGlory. This had me smiling so brightly I nearly burst at the seams. Excellent! Some sage advice for big black dots when trying to maneuver, some spittle on a tissue is an excellent remover. These lines are going to stick with me all day now! I keep playing them over and over in my head and it just makes me smile so hard. Now I know why my mother use to use spittle to clean my face when we were out in public! LOL! Thanks MorninGlory! |
