Pray Me Down
~*Grandma Poet*~

Now I pray you down to sleep
wrap you in angelic keep
If you should cry upon awake
Grandma will be near
to quiet the quake~

A chorus of angels flying high
will sing your favorite lullaby
Rest little darling, dream of such
Grandma loves you, oh so much~

*When it's bedtime, and she takes my hand and whispers,
"Pray me down" ... how could I ever refuse ?
~It's a moment so preciously tender that it melts my heart~
~Delaney Makay Tindal ... I love you so dearly~

Awwwwwww, Marge ... this is so tender and sweet. She is definately a delight, and lucky to have her Grandma close by to "pray her down". Love that phrase.

We don't know for sure where she picked up the adorable phrase, MAYBE ?? from 'now I lay me down to sleep'?

But hers is sooooooooo much cuter that Grandma just HAD to come up with our own little nighty-night 'pray me down'~

Awwww ... just doing some browsing in the archives ... and finding my heart melting at going over some of Delaney's early-day poetry~

Hard to believe she just turned FIVE !!!!
Dang ... where oh where have all those years gotten off to ?

*sigh* ... she is just such a cutie pie ... and on her own she taught Landry the 'Pray Me Down'~
