These are just words
  taken from
   other lips

     I'd tell you my own
      but
       they aren't
        welcome
         here

           I melt
            tears frozen on my skin
             beg you
              to heal the scars

                they won't leave me
               or sew torn flesh

             I could say

            'time I hate you'

           But I am weak
         and my words stillborn

       I'd like to say goodbye
      but
     it's already been said

   in a thousand other songs

It should have been someone else
but I saw you fist.

It should have been someone else
but I am weak-

                                                    planes without fuel
                                                    planes with
                                                    metal skin

                                                    I tend to
                                                    break
or so I’ve been told

And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots!"

Wait a minute. Didn't you say one time that pickles can't talk, but lemons can? I see what you're up to.

Incidentally, a scarred and spangled poem, grasping at straws and clutching for words. In other words, yum.

Liz...this is very cool writing, my friend.
Lots of great lines, but I especially liked this...

"But I am weak
         and my words stillborn"

That's just too cool...love it!

Well, Miss Liz.....I never know what to expect
when I open one of your poems...(unlike me, of course ).
But, no matter what you've written, I'm always
pleasantly surprised!!  Excellent writing, little friend!
I love the slant of the words.

"but I am weak and my words stillborn..."
I know that feeling.. I really do. I hate that you do too, though you put it all in words that I could never form.
This is so sad, and so beautiful.

The words of this...the pictures of things outside and inside too....just took me. I'm so glad I read this poem, because it said part of me so clear that it might have been written for me.

I love it Wind. If we are all having cake can someone make mine pie? I am not a cake eater. I'll take any pie as long as it is not apple! The slant to the words Wind was very dramatic. The subject matter quite eye opening. I wish I could write half as well as you.

rockin...and no, you do write from the heart. the format really adds randomness...loved it. i'll keep you.

and even when everything was wrong, and we were mad at the world, it was still beautiful.

To perk up your spirits I have lemon meringue pie, lemon cake, lemon cookies and some lemonade to wash it all down! There are yellow helium balloons for you to make wishes on and then let go into the wild blue yonder. I'll sing "Yellow Submarine" by the Beetles in my yellow polka-dot bikini. And I shall give you a glorious arrangement of daffodils and daisies.
