Tradition tells us there’s a time
and place for us; that reason rhymes,
that Shakespeare sings and snowdrops stand
to greet the sun on Avon’s strand,
that sonnets grow in icy climes.

Don’t weep, there’s nothing left behind,
old faded faults not worth a dime;
for wounds will heal, I know they can.
Tradition tells–

and I believe! Love’s not a crime
and poetry is doing fine.
Sweet sentiment can take a hand
between a woman and a man
to build a spiral passion-climb.

Tradition tells.

Hi, Magnus! I don't get much time to wander the internet, not to mention to write. Glad you agree with me.

(smiles) Yep, it's all something called humanities, sweet friend, knowing that so many values we cherish today come from the past and were brought upon us to hold dear! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is precious, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nancy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Robert, Noah, and suthern: Thanks, guys! I wanted to write a traditional rondeau, and despite our modern era I think the old-time love-stuff still works. If not in poetry, at least in life.
