Hold Out

I have
held out
curled tightly
around myself
pulled the pain
up close
over lapping
in protection
rolled it
to a knot
spent occupying
my time
nail gripping
the bindings
folded in
this hold
awoke in
the withdrawal
and held out

my heart

"I am living a life, i have no wish to live. How did this happen?" Unknown
