The dust….
Subsiding,  whisked away by a zephyr of ocean breath,
now seen beyond the knoll.   Her heart frantically
reaching out in it’s less than subtle declaration of
yearn and desire,   of passion and fire.

Shall this be the eve of his return?  When the candles
burning bright start to sag in their melt,  the flicker
blending with the eyes of purest blue that look into
the distance through a stained window…..waiting.

My Lord,  do thee not know of my yearn and ache
for thy warmth upon me?   Can not thee see the furl
of finest cloth beyond the rise?   I await,  my Lord.
Most anxiously.   Come now my love,  come now.

Battle,  that cruel and silent companion of many,
that bearer of sorrow and tears.   Why must the
lands be covered in crimson of noble hearts?
Why must it be?

My Lord,  the trees grow upon the hillside.  Shade
of the sun awaits thee.   My basket full,  a hunger
to slate,   Your lips my hands will feed.

Oh come my Love,   my lord and life
Oh come my Love….just to me.
I will wait all these days,  your chosen wife.
I will wait,  I will wait for thee.

And far away,  beyond the knoll and sight,
Another hums a tune of desire and yearn.
Flaxen hair and taunting eyes,  sensing the
time is near.

Oh come my Knight,   I wait for thee
My loins yearn to feel you now.
Oh come my Knight,  passionately.
To you I most humbly bow.

The feel of this reminds me of the journeys often taken by youth...the choices, and longing that drives so much of lives.
Well done by a master craftsman...Bump.

Was it the dream, Sire, the dream, again?
Rest, and rest well, for on the morrow,
she will return.

As I read this I went back, and forth between a damsel, or maiden waiting on her knight, and the other thought was the women waiting for their husbands to come back from the war being fought. Either way I can hear her thoughts, and the hunger for her love's touch, and his voice. Lovely, lovely words! Just beautiful. And I'm not going to forget to click library this time. This was the most wonderful thing. Filled with romance!!! Thanks so much for sharing. comes to mind. hehe

This is a song written by a soul who knows life and love and who yearns to feel again the supreme Divine touch.
So beautiful.
