There is an empty place
Just left of Venus rising
Where there seems no shine or sparkle
Visible to the naked stare

I would not place you there
In a black void of vacant cold
Just to honor the beauty and fill the eyes

But,
I will instead listen to the roll
Of wave on shore and hear in each
Shushing rush the sounds of blood
Through the veins of you
As when I lay my head against
Your chest and was filled
Even closed eyed
With novas of inspire

Still,
My eyes do turn to the heavens
And I stare at that space seemingly empty
And wonder how it would be
To sit alongside Venus
Filling a void

“She swept the stars from his eyes and kissed the holes
left there in their passing.”

The heavens will wait
My eyes are dim

Strange, isn't it?  "She" holds more power and consequence than even "she" knows...  Another autumn lament exuding your style.
