In the dark recesses of my mind I know I must go out of here, This refuge, if I hope to find, Because there remains nothing near, No voice that will whisper things kind And nothing for me the endear. So I will slowly slip away As if a shadow some dark night Journey places that have no day So I might hide myself from sight Find some backwater place to lay And keep my ugliness from sight. The storm comes from ocean churning, To drench us with torrential rains, The winds will come in quick turning, Shouting to man strong nature claims, A lesson that we’re slow learning, That humanity is spurning. We can not fight nature’s great shows Can not stand against the strong blows We’ll be taken where Nature goes. I can not fight my own darkness The hurricane churning recess, My self that’s filled with emptiness. Let me meet the hurricane face And see if they will leave this place To survive in the path to be worn To greet the calm after the storm Let hurricane cleanse this dark stain Gloom |

Profeesor, I sure do hope that it just turns and stays in the ocean. I certainly do not like hurricanes! ![]() Hugs ![]() Ethel |
