standing on a shadow's lace

Here And In-between

liquid Mexico again you call
salty fingers of wanting pulling me
disappointed and dry to your healing
my heart rolls upon the waves
aching as far as the eye can see
birds flew within invisible grace
untamed and wrestling the wind
breath played a shell hollow echo
questioning lines divided in the distance
without realizing I wondered it aloud
where is it that my heart belongs
and suddenly the universe tugged
at me like a northern wind in curl
I looked up and didn’t feel so small
a line of my own had been drawn
a place I can even touch the stars
with my feet still on the ground
an ordinary miracle this day
showing I belong here and in-between

A very graceful poem, and much enjoyed. More often then not many of us try to find our place, if your poem tiss true, and you've found yours, all the better. None the less, loved your poem.
