“Extinct” In an ocean as square as the mind Beyond the rocks they scare of what one my find Open one’s eyelids to such oval disputes For humblest non-mentions this creature bares no fruit One flap of a flipper, one slap of a man No one dare stand to arch, to protect while they can For no air has ever resounded in water Cautious unwillingness leaves the moment until after The power of the sun, the movement of the moon A splash of water, the skin is cut just a moment to soon Slap on the bristle, lay cost the burden of life No voice flows in creature tones, it remains locked up inside |
